LCUP EXPRESSES SEASONS GREETINGS THROUGH AN INSTITUTIONAL CHRISTMAS ID
Aiming to imbibe the spirit of Christmas and share warm holiday greetings to the community, La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP) launched an institutional Christmas ID, December 23, 2020 at the LCUP official Facebook page and YouTube channel.
The Integral Evangelization Office (IEP) came up with the idea of creating the Christmas ID. The execution of the said idea was made possible with the help of the co-organizing offices Marketing and Promotions Office (MPO), Human Resource and Development (HRD) Office and participation of the LCUP community.
CITHM AND GS PROGRAMS UNDERGO PACUCOA VIRTUAL ACCREDITATION
Programs under College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management (CITHM) and Graduate Studies Department gone through virtual accreditation conducted by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA) on December 17-18, 2020.
UNIVERSITY MOURNS OVER MR. RICARDO MACLANG’S PASSING
Sir Ricardo Maclang, Jr. – one of the La Consolacion University Philippines’ (LCUP) beloved Senior High School Faculty members and Subject Area Coordinator, rested in peace, December 4, 2020 at the age of 40.
Having fulfilled 15 years of service, the University was deeply saddened over the said news. Sir Maclang or fondly called “Sir Ric” by his LCUP family passed away due to Cadiogenic Shock Secondary to Intractable Metabolic Acidosis.
UNIVERSITY CELEBRATES 83RD FOUNDING ANNIVERSARY IN TIME WITH THE ADVENT SEASON
As it marks another year of hopes and challenges, La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP) initiated a line-up of activities as a celebration to its 83rd Founding Anniversary in time with the Advent Season, December 3-4, 2020.
On December 3, The Integral Evangelization Program (IEP) Office held an Institutional Advent Reflections at the Kalinangan Auditorium. In line with the modern-day evangelization, the spiritual activity was composed of video presentations, live stories of inspiration, songs, and reflections.
LCUP CONDUCTS TULONG CONSOLANIAN RELIEF OPERATIONS TO TYPHOONS ROLLY AND ULYSSES VICTIMS
Embodying the spirit of compassion and community-oriented values, the La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP) held “Tulong Consolanian” – a series of relief operations administered to the victims of Typhoon Rolly and Typhoon Ulysses in Calumpit and Hagonoy, Bulacan.
Both tropical cyclones Rolly and Ulysses hit the Philippines on the month of November, affecting different areas of the country. On November 2, 2020, tropical cyclone Rolly landed and signal no. 2 was raised over portions of Bulacan. Tropical cyclone Ulysses landed on November 12, 2020 – hoisted signal no. 3 over the said province. Catastrophic winds and heavy rainfalls caused floods and power supply outage in different areas in Bulacan. Certain areas in Hagonoy and Calumpit were submerged and several families had to be evacuated from their homes.

LCUP HOLDS CONSOLANIAN FAMILY ROSARY CRUSADE
In line with the celebration of the Month of the Holy Rosary, La Consolacion University Philippines conducted the Consolanian Family Rosary Crusade, spearheaded by the Internal Evangelization Program (IEP) Office, October 30, 2020 at Kalinangan Auditorium.
UNIVERSITY OPERATES AMID PANDEMIC; OPENS CLASSES FOR AY 2020-2021
In spite of the COVID-19 outbreak, La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP) opened its classes August 26, 2020 for Basic Education Department and October 05, 2020 for College Department and continually accepted enrollees for the Graduate School Department.
LCUP JOINS CHED’S MONTHLY ONLINE KAPIHAN LAUNCHING
La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP) actively supported the launching of the “Monthly Online Kapihan at Talakayan with CHEDRO-III”, September 29, 2020 via Zoom Meeting. The said program of the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office-III (CHEDRO-III) aims to virtually connect with the Higher Educational Institutions in Region III to ensure proper dissemination and implementation of CHED’s policies and regulations.
LCUP UNDERGOES VIRTUAL RQAT VISIT FOR LCUP-GS NEW PROGRAMS
The La Consolacion University Philippines welcomes a beginning of new management through the opening of the new programs in the Post Graduate Studies with the virtual evaluation conducted by Commission on Higher Education Region III -Regional Quality Assurance Team (RQAT), September 24, 2020.
CITE ALUMNI BAG 2nd PLACE AT INTERNATIONAL CASE STUDY COMPETITION
The College of Information Technology and Engineering (CITE) emerged victorious as three of its Industrial Engineering graduates namely; Emmanuel Oliver D.C. Porciuncula, Leonard T. Aquino and Aroma M. Santillan, achieved 2nd place in Lean Six Sigma Global Competition: CoViD-19 Pandemic Problem Solving using DMAIC Methodology.
MRBOP LAUNCHES LUNTIANG AGUSTINO; CONDUCTS IN-CAMPUS TREE-PLANTING
The Mother Rita Barcelo Outreach Program (MRBOP) – also known as the LCUP Extension Unit spearheaded an in-house tree-planting activity through its annual Luntiang Agustino program launching, September 8, 2020 at Sto. Niňo Garden, LCUP Main Campus.
EMPLOYEES RECEIVE RICE SUBSIDY
The LCUP administration distributed packs of rice to its faculty and employees on Thursday, August 13. A total of 378 packs of rice, consisting of 78 five-kilo packs and 300 ten-kilo packs, were distributed at the Agostino Building to all administrators, faculty and personnel. Sr. Victoria Gan, OSA and Ms. Noemi Dela Cruz facilitated the distribution of the goods to the employees.
COLLEGE PROFESSORS ATTEND ONLINE IN-SERVICE TRAINING
In preparation for the transition to online classes this school year, LCUP organized an In-Service Training for all college professors from August 3 - 11. The initiative of the program was to educate the faculty members who were not part of the recent G-Suite for Education End-User Training on how to utilize certain productivity tools and software for virtual classroom management.
LCUP HOLDS MASS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
La Consolacion University Philippines commemorated the Votive Mass of the Holy Spirit at the Kalinangan Auditorium on July 17, Friday. The mass was LCUP’s first Eucharistic assembly in five months since the government-imposed ban on religious gatherings was lifted this July. It was also the University’s Misa de Apertura which marked the opening of the new school year.
UNIVERSITY PREPARES FOR ONLINE LEARNING WITH G-SUITE TRAINING
In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, distance learning has become the new normal for academic institutions all over the country. In order to equip instructors with the knowledge and skills needed for the successful implementation of online classes, LCUP conducted a G-Suite for Education End-User Training to selected administrators and faculty from July 11 to 18.
