SWS HOLDS CAREER GUIDANCE SEMINARS FOR GRADE 12 STUDENTS

In pursuit of helping students in choosing the career path that would fit their skills and interest, the Student Welfare Services Unit under the Student Affairs and Services Department (SAS-SWS), in collaboration with the College Departments, organized a series of Career Guidance Seminars for Basic Education Department Grade 12 Students on February 6-8, 2023, at the LCUP Kalinangan Auditorium.
The three-day seminar was held twice daily, accommodating Grade 12 morning and afternoon classes. Two college departments were given a half-day schedule each per day to facilitate a talk that tackles courses, programs, and activities offered by each department, what to expect in each course program and the department as a whole, career tracks in each course program, and common misconceptions in each undergraduate program and their respective career tracks.
The first day featured the College of Allied Medical Professions (CAMP) and College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management (CITHM), facilitated by Dr. Joseph Erol Cuevas, Dean of CAMP, and Prof. Fe Corazon Villanueva, Dean of CITHM. The spotlight was given to the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education (CASE) and College of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy (CBEA) on the second day led by Dr. Olivia Almario, Dean of CASE and Dr. Maria Corazon Segismundo, Dean of CBEA. The third day led to the College of Information Technology and Engineering (CITE), Alternative Education, and Marketing and Promotions Office (MPO) facilitated by Dr. Joseph Espino, Dean of CITE, CITE Program Heads Engr. John Mark Nanip and Prof. Edna Dayao, Prof. Elizabeth Vivar, Director for Alternative Education, and Prof. Ezekiel Rodriguez, Director for MPO.
