VPGS goes to USA for International Research Conferences and English Language Expo

The Vice President for Graduate
Studies (VP-GS), Dr. Enrico F. Rosales
set foot to California, United States of
America (USA) and graced the Global
Conference on Education, Research, and
Development as one of the guest speakers,
in June 2023.
VP Rosales’ talk focused on
the difference between “Pedagogical
Acceptability Judgements of ESL Teachers
and ESL Students”.
In addition, Dr. Rosales once
again flew to the USA alongside Dr. June
Reyla and Dr. Gerry Baes - GS Faculty
members as well as Dr. Marites Barcelona
- GS alumna, to attend the TESOL 2023
International Conference and English
Language Expo on March 21 to 24, 2023.
Themed “Inspiring Innovation,
Empowering ELT Professionals”, the
conference attendance aimed to encourage
the GS faculty members to follow suit and
engage themselves to international
exposures through paper presentations
and attendance to international research
conferences.
These global research
engagements are few of the many efforts
of the LCUP GS in jumping on the trends
to ensure the university’s comparative
advantage as a higher education institution
in the areas of research, instruction, and
internationalization.
