LCUP-MRBOP renews partnership with BAN Toxics Inc

The University, through the Mother Rita Barcelo Outreach Program (MRBOP), re-ignited its shared goal of promoting care for our common home with its partner organization BAN Toxics Inc. by renewing its Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on November 17, 2023, at the Agostino Hall, LCUP Main Campus.
LCUP and BAN Toxics Inc. inked their first agreement on September 8, 2022. Part of the institution's mission is to promote environmental care and awareness, anchored to Pope Francis' Laudato Si' – a call to care for our common home, the planet Earth. With this, both parties found allies in each other as BAN Toxics Inc. upholds the mandate to protect the Earth by promoting a toxic-free environment.
After a year of collaborative efforts in fulfilling its mission, BAN Toxics Inc., led by its Executive Director, Mr. Reynaldo San Juan, Jr., once again visited LCUP to renew the partnership. Other delegates of the BAN Toxics Group present during the signing ceremony were Mr. Augusto Cunanan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mr. Thony Dizon, TSFP Coordinator and Toxics Campaigner, and Ms. Arleen Honrade, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. Alongside BAN Toxics Inc. Mr. Nils Viklund and Ms. Gabrielle Holström of the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation–one of the partners and donors of the organization–also joined the ceremony as witnesses.

Cesar, OSA, Vice President for Spiritual Formation and Extension; Mr. Roody Angelo Juan, Director for Extension/MRBOP; Dr. Divina Ann M. Eusebio, Vice President for Academic Affairs; Dr. Mark Rey C. Santos, Vice President for Research, Publications, and Linkages; and Dr. Jay Mark B. Santos, Director for Academic Quality Assurance and Assistant to the VPAA.
