LCUP UNDERGOES VIRTUAL RQAT VISIT FOR LCUP-GS NEW PROGRAMS

The La Consolacion University Philippines welcomes a beginning of new management through the opening of the new programs in the Post Graduate Studies with the virtual evaluation conducted by Commission on Higher Education Region III -Regional Quality Assurance Team (RQAT), September 24, 2020.
The new programs to be offered by the university include Doctor of Philosophy in Science Education, Doctor in Philosophy in Filipino, Master in Health Professions Education for the next Academic Year 2021-2022. The RQAT virtual visit was undertaken by Dr. Sofronio Kalaw, Dr. Elvira S. Balinas, Dr. Al Biag with Dr. Efren Abulencia, and their technical support team Mr. John Wesley Calagui.
Interviews were conducted with the Program Head of each program, Dr. Enrico Rosales for Ph. D in Filipino, Dr. Josephine Tondo for Ph. D. in Science Education and Dr. Ma. Cristina Zulueta for MHPEd. For the ocular inspection of the facilities, the RQAT members were toured around the laboratories and other campus facilities on real-time virtually.
The department successfully presented and introduced the programs with the help and support of the LCUP administrators headed by the University President, Sr. Editha S. Zerna, OSA. Vice President for Graduate Studies, Dr. Enrico F. Rosales; Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Divina Ann Eusebio; Vice President for Research, Publications and Linkages, Dr. Evangeline Paraan; Vice President for Finance, Prof. Marissa Ventura; Director of Marketing and Promotions Office, Prof. Ezekiel Rodriguez; University Librarian, Dr. Ma. Mercedez Haz; Executive Assistant to the University President, Prof. Maribel Guevara; Assistant to the VPAA, Prof. Jay Mark Santos, as well as the Graduate Studies and MPO Staff.
These programs were developed to address the post-graduate education needs of prospective students whose areas of specialization in their respective disciplines could not be addressed with currently offered courses in the Graduate School level.
