CHED VISITS COLLEGE OF MEDICINE

Representatives from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) visited the College of Medicine last April 12, Thursday, for the regular monitoring of the College and for inspection of documents, facilties, management and instruction relevant to the permit application for the 3rd and 4th year levels.

Dr. Alfaretta Luisa T. Reyes, Chairman of the TCME-CHED, headed the visit. Other members of the team were: Dr. Agnes D. Mejia, Dr. Eleanor J. Galvez, Dr. Maria Minerva P. Calimag, Dr. Alberto B. Roxas, Ms. Shiela F. Jalbuena, and Mr. Leopoldo Cortez.

The College of Medicine was granted the permit to operate until year level 2 back in April of 2017. The visit has been an inspection of the Level 1 operations for which the university is to submit several required documents for compliance. If granted the go signal to open year levels 3 and 4, the university will then be eligible to apply for recognition, which will make the College of Medicine a fullfledged college program of the school.

So far, the TCME team has provided positive feedback regarding their visit. The results of the visit would not be made possible without the efforts of the College of Medicine faculty and their Dean, Dr. Ma. Cristina Elma-Zulueta.
