LCUP ADMINISTERS 1ST INTERNAL AUDIT ON ISO STANDARD 9001:2015

The Quality Assurance Office, headed by its Director Mr. Alejandro Vistan, spearheaded an internal ISO audit on October 8 to ensure the University’s commitment in upholding high quality standards across all departments.

The internal auditors comprised of LCUP administrators who were divided into five teams.

The departments audited by the internal auditors were: the Basic Education, College and Night College Departments, Health Services Department, Sports Development Program, Career and Job Placement Services, Graduate School, EVP/VPAA Office, the Research, Extension and Linkages Office, the Human Resource and Development Office, Purchasing Dept., Library, Integral Evangelization Program, University Building and Maintenance Services, Guidance, Admissions, Registrar, and the President’s Office.

Following the evaluation, a closing meeting was held at the College of Medicine AVR discussing the results of the observations. The meeting, also, pointed out the key areas of improvement. This is the first internal audit using the new ISO 9001:2015 standard which puts more focus on riskbased thinking that requires organizations to identify and analyze potential risks arising from both inside and outside the organization.

The audit findings were positive, with all departments adhering to the quality standards set by ISO.
