LCUP CONDUCTS INSTITUTIONAL FIRE SAFETY DRILL

In partnership with the Provincial Disaster Risk Management Office of Bulacan, LCUP organized an Institutional Fire Safety Drill last November 23, Thrusday, at the University’s Main and Barasoain Campuses. Students, faculty and non-teaching personnel of the LCUP Main Campus participated in the fire drill which kicked off at exactly 9 AM.

A fire truck was present inside the school grounds as representatives from the Bulacan Fire Department extinguished several burning trash bins around the campus to simulate a fire breakout. Several rescue officials likewise demonstrated the proper way to administer first aid to injured individuals, which were acted out by Senior High School students, before carrying them to an ambulance nearby. The Barasoain Campus, meanwhile, held their fire drill at around 2 PM.

The different scenarios played out during the Institutional Fire Safety Drill were just some of the possible situations which could happen in case of a fire breakout or emergency. The purpose of the drill was to equip students and personnel with the proper knowledge on how to respond during a possible disaster inside the campus.
