LCUP UPGRADES TO NEW ISO STANDARD

La Consolacion University Philippines has once again proven itself as an institution committed to upholding quality and excellence when it passed the recently concluded ISO audit last April 5, Thursday.

LCUP’s certification was upgraded from the previous ISO 9001:2008 to the new ISO 9001:2015 standard.

The audit began with an opening program held at the College of Medicine Audio Visual Room and was attended by the LCUP administrators.

The auditors, namely, Ms. Lynn Gerzon, Ms. Mary Grace Balobalo and Mr. Jayzer Aquino, visited the different departments and offices around the campus for the audit. They likewise interviewed the university’s top-level management, the internal auditors, the principal and asst. principals and deans of the different colleges.

A closing program was held afterwards where the results of the audit were announced.

LCUP received zero non conformances, which indicates that the offices and departments which were audited have passed the standards of the accreditors.

A few areas for improvement were also tackled during the program.

ISO 9001 is the world’s most popular and most widely used standard for evaluating quality management systems.
