QMO SPEARHEADS INTERNAL AUDIT OF UNIVERSITY’S CORE PROCESSES

To ensure that the University would continue to uphold its highest standard of commitment to providing quality education to its students, the Quality Management Office spearheaded a threeday internal ISO audit last December 5 – 7. Internal ISO auditors who were selected from among the LCUP administrators took their rounds at the Main and Barasoain campuses for two days to observe the pedagogical methods employed by teachers and to assess their overall classroom performance. A meeting was held on the third day to discuss the results of the observations, point out areas that are in need of improvement, and provide feedback on the University’s overall quality of instruction.

On the other hand, an internal audit of the various offices inside the University was conducted last November to check the quality of the services and processes of the different departments. The series of internal audits is a preparation for the upcoming external ISO audit on April 5 which will determine the renewal of the University’s status as an ISO Certified Institution. ISO is an international accrediting organization which establishes the highest standard of quality management system among organizations and institutions.
