REL ORGANIZES COPYRIGHT SEMINAR AND RESEARCH COLLOQUIUM



The Research, Extension, and Linkages office organized a Copyright Seminar and Research Colloquium for faculty and administrators held at the 5th floor AVR of the St. Augustine Building on March 8, Friday. The activity aimed to educate the LCUP personnel on intellectual property rights, as well as, scrutinize researches for completion and publication. The resource speaker of the Copyright Seminar was Mr. Buenaventura Marcelino, Jr., Field Operations Specialist of the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHIL). He emphasized the importance of securing ownership of one’s own ideas and inventions, and answered several questions from the audience. The Research Colloquium followed thereafter with Dr. Divina Ann Eusebio, Engr. Felix Pascua, Jr., Prof. Ramonito Perez, Prof. Janet Valdez, Prof Edna Dayao, and Prof. Evangeline Dayao as the presenters. The EVP/VPAA Dr. Alvin Nuqui, REL Vice President Dr. Enrico Rosales, and Research Director Dr. Alma Centeno were the panel members. Afterwards, the VP for Finance Ms. Marissa Ventura announced the tuition fee increase for the BED and College departments while the Marketing and Promotions Director Mr. Ezekiel Rodriguez discussed the technological innovations which will be implemented by the University.
