The whole LCUP academic community joyfully celebrated in advance the birthday of University President Sr. Imelda A. Mora, OSA last February 9 at the Kalinangan Auditorium.

A Eucharistic celebration presided by Fr. Peter Casiño, Fr. Michael Kabelen, and Fr. Clarence Cheleva marked the start of the celebration.

The mass was followed by a simple program wherein the audience were treated to dance presentations from the Early Childhood Education students, as well as the Senior High School teachers.

Song numbers from the Cultural Arts Department and several members of the college faculty, respectively, were performed thereafter. In between the production numbers were well-wishes and birthday messages for the birthday celebrant.

Ms. Olivia Almario, BED Principal, thanked Sr. Imee for her professional excellence which inspired her to excel in her craft. Fr. Peter Casiño, meanwhile, wished Sr. Imee more strength and wisdom from the Lord so that she may be able to lead the University into even greater heights.

Ms. Precy Mora-Coligado, youngest sister of Sr. Imee, fondly recalled their childhood memories and thanked those present for their loyalty and support for the University President.

Several guests and family members of Sr. Imee were likewise present during the festivities. Sr. Imelda A. Mora, OSA was born on February 11, 1947 at Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, and is the second to the youngest of 9 siblings.

To cap the night off, a dinner buffet was served to the guests.
