CBEA EXTENDS HELP TO ITS STUDENTS THROUGH CHAMPION BUILDERS EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

The College of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy (CBEA) provided help to students who struggle financially through its Champion Builders Educational Assistance (CBEA) Program – one of its community extension activities intended to connect CBEA students to scholarship opportunities.
By reaching out to the Provincial Government of Bulacan – Office of the Governor, CBEA secured 194 Tulong Pang-Edukasyon scholarship slots. On February 9, 2022, the department, in coordination with the Extension Unit, Finance and Administrative Services Office, and Office of the University Registrar, helped facilitate and organize the scholarship requirements of the students. In addition to this, with the help of its partner institutions Rotary Club of Malolos and Lions Club, sponsors namely Mr. Albert Perdiz, Mr. Jayzon Ruedas, Ms. Rhoderica Francisco, Mr. Aljeru Pagtalunan, and the CBEA faculty, three nominated CBEA ‘champions’ received Php 7,000 educational assistance each. Furthermore, the department initiated two more community extension programs, namely Tulay sa Pagbibigay: Channel of Blessings to All in Need – a fund drive in partnership with Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) and CBEA clubs which aims to give assistance to its students who experience difficulties in coping with online classes due to lack of mobile data or internet access and the Lipat-Kaalaman Livelihood Project in collaboration with CITHM and CITE.
