UNIVERSITY CELEBRATES FEAST DAYS OF ST. AUGUSTINE AND ST. MONICA

In celebration of the feast days of St. Augustine and St. Monica, LCUP held a Dalaw Patron and a series of Novena Masses from August 19 to 27 which was participated by selected offices and departments.
The assigned offices and units decorated their own altars with candles and flowers as they welcomed the visiting images of St. Monica and St. Augustine. Novena Masses, meanwhile, were held at the Kalinangan Auditorium at 3 in the afternoon.
The event was spearheaded by the Integral Evangelization Program (IEP) led by its Director, Prof. Jose Neal Tabingo and the VP for Religious Formation and Extension, Sr. Mary Sheba O. Principe, OSA. The 9-day activity concluded on August 27 with a Dapit at Prusisyong Munti held at the open stage parking. It was followed by a Eucharistic celebration which was presided by Most Rev. Dennis C. Villarojo, DD, Bishop of the Diocese of Malolos, at the Kalinangan Auditorium.
Only 10 persons were allowed inside the Auditorium due to strict guidelines on mass gatherings. The rest of the administrators and personnel attended the mass inside their respective offices via live streaming. Meanwhile, the attendees received the communion in designated areas around the campus in accordance to proper social distancing protocols. The festivities concluded with a simple dinner or salu-salo.
