UNIVERSITY SEALED PARTNERSHIPS WITH AN INTERNATIONAL AND TWO LOCAL INSTITUTIONS

Maximizing its efforts in the area of internationalization, LCUP, through the Office of the Vice President for Research, Publications, and Linkages (OVP-RPL), signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Huey Deng High School, Ilan, Taiwan, and with La Consolacion College, Tanauan, Batangas (LCCT) on August 31, 2023. Another Memorandum of Agreement was undertaken with the Guiguinto Central School (GCS), Bulacan, on September 13, 2023.
The nature of the partnership with Huey Deng High School covers opportunities for program collaborations, specifically with the Basic Education Department, for cultural exchange and exposure as well as potential academic and faculty development activities. Signatories from Huey Deng High School were Mr. Yu-Wen Tsung, Director of Huey Deng High School; Mrs. Eva Chang, Director of the International Affairs Office; Mr. Chen Taizheng, Director of the Academic Affairs Office; and Mr. Lukas Vanek, International Project Coordinator.


Research enhancement and capacity building bind the agreement between the University and LCCT. The University shall provide research ethics review services to LCCT and open its doors for future research collaborations. The Memorandum of Understanding was inked in the presence of the LCCT Administrators, including Sr. Ma. Lina Despojo, OSA, LCCT President; Dr. Juan Matanguihan, College Dean and Director of Academic Affairs and Quality Assurance; Dr. Carina Marave, Basic Education Principal and Director for Research and Linkages; Mrs. Mylene Magpantay, Head of the Research and Development Office; and Dr. Magdalena Sayas, Research Consultant.
As one of the community outreach endeavors of the OVP-RPL, the University shall provide research enhancement services through the conduct of an Action Research Seminar Writeshop to teachers of Guiguinto Central School. The MOA Signing became the starting point of the collaboration between the University and GCS with Dr. Charito N. Laggui, Principal IV as signatory and witnessed by Ms. Amelie E. Viquiera, School Research Coordinator, Mr. Jonathan Yves P. Cruz – Officer-In-Charge, and Mr. Cirilo DG. Santiago, Jr. Master Teacher II, Instructional Leader.
