LCUP goes to Thailand, benchmarks with partner school SJNK

Bearing the goal to strengthen ties with its international linkages and explore cultural exchange opportunities, La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP) embarked on a trip to Nakhon, Phanom, Thailand, to join its partner institution, St. Joseph Nakae School in the commencement of its Benchmarking Activities on July 19 to 23, 2023.
This Benchmarking Activity allowed both institutions to discuss future collaborative endeavors, including faculty and student exchange programs, research partnerships, joint conference hosting, and to start the practicum of the Bachelor of Science in Education students of CASE.
Represented by Dr. Enrico F. Rosales, Vice President for Graduate Studies (VPGS), and Dr. Olivia M. Almario, Dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education (CASE) alongside Dr. Janet R. Valdez, Assistant to the VPGS, Ms. Aura Julia M. Ambrosio and Ms. Silangan Evasco-Hyldgaard, students of the Doctor of Philosophy in Education major in Educational Leadership and Management, the University was able to experience the warmth of Thailand and join hands with its prestigious partner SJNK who inked a MOU with LCUP on December 15, 2022.
The LCUP representatives were given a Grand Welcome prepared by the SJNK Community led by its Honorable Director, Reverend Father John Baptist Jeerasak Unla. Lei and flower garlands were offered to the guests upon entrance to the school. The Students, personnel, and faculty of SJNK showcased various cultural performances, including Thai traditional dances, martial arts, and playing of musical instruments. A Eucharistic celebration was presided by the Most Reverend Archbishop Anthony Wedaret Chaiseri, DD of the Catholic Archdiocese of Thare, Nongseng.
Campus visits were also conducted wherein LCUP delegates were exposed to the best practices, classroom protocols, and educational facilities of SJNK, Saint Joseph Sakhon Nakhon, Saint Joseph Si Songkhran, and Saint Joseph Mukdahan School.
The Benchmarking Activities were also participated by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Thare-Nongseng and the Commission on Education and Formation. The visit materialized through the efforts and hospitality of Reverend Father John Baptist Jeerasak Unla, SJNK Administrators, namely Sr. Rattanakorn Mahatkul, LCT, Sr. Maitree Somchan LCT, Mrs. Napaporn Meerahong, and Mr. Charles Van Howard Florendo.
