UNIVERSITY PRESIDENT GETS IN TOUCH WITH LCUP COMMUNITY THROUGH VIRTUAL KUMUSTAHAN

The University President Sr. Editha S. Zerna, OSA, PhD called in a series of Virtual Kumustahan organized by the Human Resource and Development (HRD) Office to assess the needs, situation and condition of the LCUP employees in the midst of pandemic, June 2, 2021 for the teaching personnel and June 9, 2021 for the non-teaching personnel through Google Meet.

The online kumustahan sessions were merely initiated to give an avenue for LCUP employees to address their sentiments towards the global pandemic. The attendees were asked to answer an online form with three questions namely; 1.) in terms of work/employment, how do feel towards the ongoing pandemic? 2.) how may the institution help you with your work in the middle of pandemic? and 3.) what is your message to the University President?

Throughout the virtual kumustahan, employees were encouraged to share their answers to everyone. There were personnel who voiced out both negative and positive effect of working during the pandemic.

“Nagkaroon po tayo ng malaking adjustment pero makakaya naman nating lahat. Natutuhan ko po sa pagtratrabaho ko dito sa LCUP ay ‘yong pagiging flexible.” Ms. Chandrena Turrecha of Student Development Services Office expressed. Read More ...

“Malaki pong changes, maraming challenges ‘yong alam po namin na mararanasan po namin this past school year. Nakakakaba po pero at the end naka-survive naman po tayo for the school year 2020- 2021.” Ms. Angelica De Guzman of Basic Education Department shared.

On the second question, some personnel shared that there were help already given by the institution to them such as gadget and internet assistance, loans, and training-workshops on online education. Some personnel suggested possible health care assistance that the institution may provide such as free vitamins and financial assistance on vaccine against CoViD-19.

The LCUP Employees voiced out their message of gratitude towards the University President for continually enforcing work that serves as a source of income of the University personnel.

“Unang-una po, lubos po ang aking pasasalamat sa inyong kabutihan. Nawa po ay patuloy kayong gabayan ng Poong Maykapal, at lalong higit na ingatan sa pandemyang bumabalot sa ating lipunan.” Mr. Louie Gie Gammad of Management Information System Office expressed. Hide
