October 22, 2022

The Office of the Vice President for Graduate Studies, headed by Dr. Enrico F. Rosales, in collaboration with the Office of the Vice President for Research, Publications, and Linkages, headed by Dr. Mark Rey C. Santos, had successfully mounted another research activity called "Reflections on Research: Sharing Challenges, Learnings, and Experiences" during the sixth week of the Graduate Studies' classes on October 22, 2022.

"Reflections on Research" shared the personal journey of the selected faculty members at the Graduate Studies. The faculty members shared valuable learnings in the process of research. Dr. Alejandro Bernardo, a professorial lecturer at LCUP and Assistant Dean at the University of Santo Tomas' Faculty of Arts and Letters, shared his learnings, particularly on reviewing related literature and studies as he traversed the roads to the completion of his dissertation at the oldest pontifical university. LCUP's University Registrar and professorial lecturer of Business Administration, Dr. Maria Lourdes Cervantes, presented ethical considerations and challenges in the step-by-step process of data gathering in quantitative and qualitative research. Dr. Jocelyn Hipona, the Dean of the College of Allied Medical Sciences and professorial lecturer on Nursing, recounted her experiences in research collaboration, partnership, and networking. Fortunately, we heard the satisfying first part of the reflections on the qualitative research writing of Dr. Edilberto Cruz; however, Internet connectivity prevented us from listening to his complete presentation.
