COLLEGE OF MEDICINE
|
VISION
La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP) envisions the College of Medicine to be a medical school that is known for the excellence of teaching, research and service. We will train our students to be competent, compassionate physicians or health professionals for the medically underserved communities and populations. In addition, the College of Medicine will be an exemplar in eliminating health disparities and in finding solutions through research and public health programs for medical problems found especially in marginalized communities of the indigenous people of Luzon.
MISSION
The College of Medicine will provide students of high academic potential with a medical education of exceptional quality and will prepare physicians and other health care professionals to serve the underprivileged. Particular focus is on the education of disadvantaged students for careers in medicine. Special attention is directed to teaching and research activities that address tropical diseases in Asia.
The College also seeks to improve the health of Filipinos and the global community through public health training programs and initiatives. Our mission also includes the discovery of new knowledge through research. Furthermore, the College supports the education and training of postgraduate physicians, other health care providers, and graduate students in the biochemical sciences.
GOALS
1. To produce physicians who are not only clinically competent but also deeply committed to serving as primary healthcare providers in underserved communities, embodying the Augustinian-Marian values of service and compassion.
