BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN NURSING
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at La Consolacion University Philippines (LCUP) is a four-year, competency-based professional degree that prepares students for a life of service and leadership in the field of nursing. Grounded in Catholic and Augustinian values of Caritas (charity), Unitas (unity), and Veritas (truth), the program seeks to form not only skilled professionals but also compassionate and ethical caregivers committed to holistic, person- centered care.
LCUP’s BSN curriculum is aligned with the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) guidelines and follows the Competency-Based Nursing Education (CBNE) framework. It integrates general education, major nursing concepts, clinical practice, and community immersion to equip students with critical thinking, clinical reasoning, and leadership competencies. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based practice, public health advocacy, technological integration, and global health perspectives.
The program is recognized for its commitment to quality and excellence, with PACUCOA Level IV accreditation and ISO 9001:2015 certification—hallmarks of LCUP’s dedication to academic rigor, continuous improvement, and outcomes-based education.
Students are trained in modern simulation laboratories and affiliated with top-tier partner hospitals and community health facilities across the region. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are qualified to take the Philippine Nurse icensure Examination and are well-prepared for careers in hospital-based nursing, community health, education, research, and healthcare leadership—both in the Philippines and abroad.
