Students from different undergraduate programs under the College of Information Technology and Engineering (CITE), College of Arts, Sciences, and Education (CASE), College of Business, Entrepreneurship, and Accountancy (CBEA), College of International Tourism and Hospitality Management (CITHM), College of Allied Medical Professions (CAMP), and College of Alternative Education marched and received their diplomas and special awards. For the implementation of the limited face-to-face graduation, four ceremonies were conducted each day which were attended by a maximum of 150 students each.
Present during the Graduate Studies Commencement Exercises is Senator Risa Hontiveros as the guest speaker. Senator Hontiveros is a health and women’s rights advocate and Philippines’ first socialist woman Senator and was known to have successfully championed laws concerning public health and women’s rights. Senator Hontiveros joined the LCUP Administrators, Graduate Studies professors, program coordinators, and LCUP Religious Community during the Processional.
Before the graduation rites, a Baccalaureate Mass was held at the Chapel of Our Lady of Consolation on August 5, 2022, for Undergraduate Department and August 19, 2020, for Graduate Studies Department. Throughout these ceremonies, the Crisis Management Committee and the Health Services Unit ensured the proper implementation of COVID-19 safety and mitigation protocols. A live broadcast was also aired during the ceremonies. This is the second time LCUP was able to hold a clustered face-to-face graduation for the school year 2021-2022, for it can be recalled that the Basic Education Department organized limited face-to-face graduation with consent forms secured from the parents.
