MRBOP organizes Dugtong Buhay ni San Lorenzo Ruiz Blood Donation Drive
May 4, 2023
The University through its Mother
Rita Barcelo Outreach Program (MRBOP)
under the Office of the Vice President for
Religious Formation and Extension once
again launched a blood donation drive
dubbed Dugtong Buhay ni San Lorenzo Ruiz,
on May 4, 2023, at the Rambutan Hall,
BarCIE International Center, LCUP Main
Campus.
The bloodletting activity was made
possible in cooperation with the Philippine
Red Cross – Bulacan Chapter and with the
help of the Health Services Unit as well
as volunteer students from the College of
Allied Medical Professions (CAMP).
A total of 37 bags of blood were collected
from students, faculty, and other personnel
donors from different departments in the
institution during the activity.
Blood donors were given souvenir
pins and donor cards as gratitude for
their act of lifesaving and service to the
community.
Dugtong Buhay ni San Lorenzo
Ruiz, formerly Dugong Agostino is one of
the university’s community extension
programs aimed at saving lives by helping
the community blood bank increase its
blood supplies.
