La Consolacion University Philippines officially declared a countdown of 85 days to its 85th Founding Anniversary Celebration, commencing from September 9, 2022 to December 4, 2022, which signifies its high hopes and anticipation for the said momentous event. The university, formerly known as the Colegio De Nuestra Señora Del Carmen, Regina Carmeli College, and University of Regina Carmeli, was the first Catholic institution established in the Province of Bulacan way back in 1937. La Consolacion University Philippines is presently known to cater Basic Education to Graduate School enrollees and accommodates students in its two campuses - Barasoain and Catmon.

The announcement materialized through a ceremony held at the Venerable Mo. Consuelo Open Stage Area. Selected students from Grade 11 and Grade 12, personnel, faculty, administrators, and religious community with their flaglets, balloons, and flowers graced the procession, which was the program's starting point. As a look back to the roots and journey of the University to almost 85 years of standing firm, Dr. Mark Rey C. Santos, the Vice President for Research, Publications, and Linkages, recounted the history of LCUP through his opening speech. From a portion of land acquired from charity, rebuilding the university from the ashes caused by a massive fire, to emerging resilience from a global pandemic, the story of the making of LCUP was unfolded.

A Eucharistic Celebration was held, followed by the program's highlight, the declaration of the countdown to the 85th Founding Anniversary of the University, which was proclaimed by Sr. Editha S. Zerna, OSA, Ph.D., University President. In line with this, a huge countdown bulletin was set up alongside Kalinangan Auditorium as a reminder to the LCUP Community that as the day passes, it is getting closer to the much-awaited celebration of the year. A packed dinner was prepared and distributed to the LCUP personnel as a token of the ceremony. Hide
