COM holds “PLE Real Talk”

Preparing its Medicine students
who will soon take the Physician Licensure
Examination (PLE), the College of
Medicine (COM) hosted “PLE Real Talk,”
on June 9, 2023, at the College of Medicine
Building. It is an open forum on pointers
and pieces of advice from the LCUP
Doctors of Medicine to COM students
aspiring to ace the PLE.
The department, headed by its
Dean, Dr. Ma. Cristina Elma-Zulueta aims
to provide an avenue to talk about PLE
from the perspective of licensed medical
practitioners. The forum was graced
by LCUP-COM alumni and licensed
physicians namely Dr. Hershey Gay De
Guzman, Dr. Graciano Jay De Guzman,
and Dr. Chimmeng Tafaleng who shared
their personal experiences, struggles, and
pro tips in getting ready for the board
exam.
Besides alumni doctors, Dra. Bianca
Katrina Villanueva, COM Faculty, Dr. Jesus
N. Egargo, Clinical Clerkship Coordinator,
Dr. Mel Christian Bilbao, College Secretary,
and Dr. Zulueta, also joined the forum and
actively engaged with the medicine student
participants.
