CHED Grants LCUP An Autonomous Status

La Consolacion University Philippines received Autonomous Status for three years from the Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) valid from Sept 16, 2024- September 15, 2027, via CHEd Memorandum Order 7, signed by Chairman Prospero de Vera III on Sept. 16.
The announcement of the said status grant to the LCUP Community was done through the official Facebook page of LCUP, last September 23, 2024.

CHEd evaluated Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in various categories such as commitment to program excellence, instructional quality, scholarly work, community engagement, and institutional achievements, in which LCUP needed to garner a total of 80 points to obtain the status. With years of hard work finally, LCUP was able to regain its Autonomous Status.
Together with LCUP, 76 other PHEIs were granted the Autonomous Status across the country. While 15 PHEIs were granted Deregulated Status.
